Director, Neurology Residency Program
Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology
I started as an associate program director in 2018, transitioned to co-director in 2024, and program director in 2025. I am invested in resident education and career development, particularly in individualized resident career development opportunities throughout training. Penn Neurology has been an amazing place to build a career due to the depth and breadth of educational opportunities for trainees and faculty, the phenomenal clinical exposure, and the amazing colleagues who have served as mentors and have become friends. My goal is to continue to enhance the opportunities for residents to learn neurology in a supportive environment and launch meaningful careers based on their unique interests within our field.
After completing my clinical training at Penn, I received my masters in medical education from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Nationally, I have been a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Residency-In-Training Examination Committee since 2019. I have also been a member of the American Heart Association (AHA) Stroke Professional Education Committee since 2016 and currently serve as the immediate past chair.
Clinically, I function predominantly as a neurohospitalist and attend on multiple inpatient services. I am dedicated to ensuring delivery of high-quality neurologic care across our system and involved in our HUP inpatient neurology unit-based quality improvement team. In addition to medical education and quality improvement, I am interested in advancing disability advocacy in medicine for physicians and patients.
