I completed medical school and Neurology residency at Penn and then left Philadelphia for a year for the Neurohospitalist Fellowship at UCSF, but clearly couldn’t stay away for long. I continue to be drawn to Penn because of the commitment of the program to education, breadth of clinical experiences, and incredible colleagues. I excited to be part of the residency leadership to help teach and mentor our current residents and trainees to come.
As a neurohospitalist, I attend at HUP on both the Consults and Ward services and am an assistant director for the sub-internship at the medical school. I am passionate about medical education across the continuum of training, including expanding secondary students’ exposure to health care and the neurosciences, developing competency-based curricula for medical students and residents, and mentoring residents and fellows around their professional growth and career advancement. I am interested in quality improvement initiatives that particularly focus on patient experience and safety in the hospital.
